This investment holds significant importance, considering that another notable stakeholder in the company is Bernard Arnault, the chairman of Louis Vuitton. As of 2021, Chrono24 GmBH was valued at over $1 billion and had a vast inventory of more than 5 million luxury watches for sale. While the exact amount of Ronaldo’s investment was not revealed, Tim Stracke, the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Chrono24, confirmed that it was a significant contribution. Market analysis by Deloitte suggests that the second-hand luxury watch market is expected to grow by 75% and potentially reach $39.6 billion. Similarly, Swiss-based analysis and consulting firm LuxeConsult predicts that sales of preowned luxury watches may surpass sales of new watches. Ronaldo himself is known to be a collector of luxury watches, including brands like Rolex, Jacob & Co, Girard-Perregaux, and Franck Muller.
