Portable, a controversial Nigerian singer whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, has survived a horrific car accident. The incident took place on Wednesday in the Osapa London area of Lagos State. Portable confirmed the accident through a video message posted on his Instagram page, revealing that he lost control of his brand new G-Wagon Brabus while driving in the rain.
Expressing his gratitude to God, Portable urged his fans to join him in thanking the Almighty. He remained optimistic about his future, stating that his music would generate enough income for him to purchase a new car ten times over and even acquire a private jet.
Accompanying the video, the Zazu singer captioned, “Today is an opportunity to surpass yesterday. If our efforts today don’t yield results, we will try again tomorrow. Aje! (meaning ‘wealth’ or ‘blessing’ in Yoruba) Those who have God on their side always come out on top. It’s by His grace that we are not disgraced. To all my fans, please help me thank God.”
