Tiger Woods’ Ex-Girlfriend Drops $30M Lawsuit Over Florida Mansion

Tiger Woods’s former girlfriend, Erica Herman, has decided to drop her $30 million lawsuit against the PGA Tour star’s estate. The case, which she filed in October, was against the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, the legal owner of Woods’s mansion in Hobe Sound, Florida, where they had lived together for six years. In her lawsuit, Herman claimed that Woods had deceived her into leaving the property after their breakup in October.

A scheduled hearing for the lawsuit, set for August, was canceled as Herman dismissed the case, according to court documents obtained by the New York Post. The dismissal notice was filed on June 29 and stated that the lawsuit was being dismissed without prejudice while the appeal in Herman v. Woods and the determination of whether her claims were subject to arbitration were pending.

Interestingly, just days before this dismissal, Herman had filed a second appeal regarding a separate lawsuit aimed at lifting a 2017 NDA (non-disclosure agreement) related to a sexual harassment claim. Both of these cases against the 15-time Major winner had already been rejected by a Florida state judge twice, once in May and then in June.

In her $30 million tenancy lawsuit, Herman argued that she should have been allowed to live in the property for another five years. She claimed that she had provided valuable services at Woods’s request under an “oral tenancy agreement,” granting her the right to stay for a specific duration. However, Woods’s legal team contested these assertions, stating that there was no written or oral tenancy agreement, and she had been living at the property as a guest.

Herman further alleged that after their breakup, Woods’s representatives locked her out of the house while she was on a short vacation they suggested. She also claimed that $40,000 of her money was removed, and false accusations were made about how she acquired the funds. Woods’s lawyers refuted these claims, maintaining that he had arranged for her to stay at a local luxury resort and provided money to help her find a new residence after their split.

Tiger Woods and Erica Herman had been in a relationship for six years, having been first seen together at the Presidents Cup in New Jersey in October 2017.
