Nigerian passport holders planning to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) must now obtain a Document Verification Number (DVN) before applying for a visa. According to information on the UAE’s verification website, Nigerians must pay a non-refundable fee of ₦640,000 for document verification.
The DVN will be valid for only 14 days from the date of issuance. Individuals under 13 years old do not need a DVN for their visa applications.
“Your issued Document Verification Number will be valid for 14 days from issuance, or until your visa application has been processed by the visa application department, whichever comes first. You will be charged ₦640,000 (six hundred forty thousand Nigerian Naira) excluding VAT for each application. This fee is non-refundable,” the statement said.
