On the occasion of the 89th birthday of renowned literary icon and Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has showered praise and admiration upon him.
In a statement delivered by Presidential Spokesman Mr. Dele Alake, Tinubu described Soyinka as an invaluable source of support, inspiration, and encouragement. The President acknowledged Soyinka as a brother and comrade in the struggle for the restoration and consolidation of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
Tinubu commended the literary giant for his immense contributions to the country’s development. He celebrated Soyinka’s status as a distinguished playwright, poet, and novelist, emphasizing his irreplaceable position in the literary world. The President recognized Soyinka’s indelible role in the fight for the restoration and institutionalization of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
