The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized a total of 64,863.5 kilograms of Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) in consignments at the Apapa seaport in Lagos and in Imo State.
This development comes shortly after the NDLEA Chairman, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd), instructed all agency commands to crack down on the illegal sale and use of nitrous oxide.
At the Apapa seaport, two containers suspected of containing Nitrous oxide were intercepted, resulting in the recovery of 522 cartons weighing 64,852kg.
